All About Speech specializes in evaluation and treatment for the following:

The office of All About Speech is conveniently located off Highway 217 in Beaverton, Oregon near the Washington Square shopping mall. Services at All About Speech are provided by its owner, certified speech-language pathologist Tricia Rogers. Tricia shares her office with her part-time, calm, four-legged business partner, named Otto. He is a favorite among most of the clients!

About Speech Therapy

Speech-Language Pathologists (otherwise known as Speech Therapists) evaluate and provide treatment to individuals who have disorders related to communication. According to the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA), "Speech disorders occur when a person is unable to produce speech sounds correctly or fluently, or has problems with their voice or resonance."

About Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy

Orofacial Myology can be defined as “the study and treatment of oral and facial muscles as they relate to speech, dentition, chewing/bolus collection, swallowing and overall mental and physical health.”1


Orofacial myofunctional treatment includes assessing and targeting:

  • Non-nutritive chewing and sucking habits (thumb sucking, nail biting, etc.)
  • Habitual open mouth posture
  • Improper position of the tongue at rest
  • Jaw muscle instability
  • Tongue thrusting
  • Ineffective chewing and biting skills
  • Overall orofacial muscle dysfunction
